The Little Mermaid

If you are going on a vacation by the sea, maybe you are lucky enough to see sea flowers and sea jewelry, which can be seen on young mermaids out at the vast ocean. They sing beautifully and lures the young sailors to fall in love with them. This specific mermaid was the youngest of a large group of siblings, and had to carry on a grief, because she saved a human prince from drowning and fell in love with him...

The frame is sprayed with Butterscotch and the shells are stamped with Coffee Bean ink. At the bottom of the card is swirls stamped with peacock feathers and dotted with white pen.
The background is watercolor paper painted with blue color and stamped again with a grunge stamp with salty ocean while the blue watercolor still is wet. The mermaid is cut from 'On the boardwalk' and put on with 3D dots. All edges are distressed. The scallops at bottom are colored with hematith and adorned with pearls. Tim's birds and Dylusions Rigth Words is used to finish the card.

  1. Love your scene here... your mermaid is a little shy... and I guess they are shy... not wanting to be seen and all... Love the colors and the gulls flying above... nice. Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
