Nautical

I've got a new toy, monoprinting plate, which I have cut to suit a # 8 manilatag and as a bonus, I have the other part that fits a card ;-) I stamped on white tissue paper so I could still see my background when I put the stamp on top of acrylic color, I think it's successful, here is my suggestion for Country View Challenge Nautical

Stampendous monoprinting plate
Golden open acrylics Paynes Gray - Ultramarine Blue - Green Gold
Santoro clear stamp - Dylusions Say what you mean stamp
Versafine Onyx Black - Prismacolor
White Tissue paper - Organza ribbon

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I wish you a nice weekend.

Creative Blog Hop

Hello followers, bloggers and friends and a big thank you for visiting today

This is a different kind of post as I was invited to take part in a blog hop with a difference by the talented Claudia Neubacher (die amelie). Pop over and check out her gorgeous artwork and find out more on her Blog Hop. A big thank you Claudia for inviting me to take part.

About me
I live in CopenhagenDenmark with my husband, and we have a lovely daughter, who doesn't live home anymore. Drawing and graphic have always interested me, and I started blogging in October 2012. The Danish site Scrapsister had a tutorial with material for making a Christmas Diary, and in order to join I had to have my own blog. So klistersøster was born. A whole new world opened up to me with a lot of creative persons and a bunch of Q&A about scrapping. I discovered there were many interesting and exciting challenges out there. Among these was Tim Holtz and his 12 tags. I was truly amazed and desided to participate with my own 12 tags from January 2013. All Tim's products and techniques have inspired me, and when I stumbled upon Steampunk I was totally hooked – I love grungy, rusty and distressed projects. In spring 2014 Claudia asked if I would join the DT on Sandee&amalie's Steampunk Challenges, and a couple of months later Laura asked if I would join the DT on Our Creative Corner. I was honourned to be asked and have joined both DTs

What am I working on right now?
As I’ve just got Tim’s Acorn blueprint, and here in Denmark the weather is like the calendar says AUTUMN, I’ll like to make some altered art using this framelitz.

To emphasize my colors, I stamped the acorn with gray - Archival Ink Watering Can

You can see how the box is made here

Tim Holtz Acorn Blueprint - Mini Tattered Leaves - MiniBranch & Leaf dies
Distress Ink Black Soot - Walnut Stain - Crushed Olive - Vintage Photo - Rusty Hinge
Peeled Paint - Archival Ink Watering Can - Versafine Onyx Black
Embossing Powder Clear - Aged Mahogany
Kraft-Core Shattered Collection - Paperstash Destinations - Vial Labels - Label Pulls
Ephemera Pack - Remnants Rubs Life Quotes - Numbers

Why do I create what I do?
The creative process gives me relaxation, happiness and all my worry is forgotten. I’ve tried a lot of different crafting genres from ceramics, leather work to silkpainting, and my curiosity for new techniques and products is satified with scrapping – there is always something new to discover.
The different challenges and the two DTs that I have joined give me the possibility to explore many and new ways to make a solution.

What inspires me?
Nature – Colors – Other artists' works. I don’t use planning for my projects – I just need a little spark and then the idea comes from thought into creation. Often I start with white paper and colors to find a background for a project, then the appropriate stamps/stencils/diecuts and embellishments.

How do I stay artistically motivated?
I need to play, and often I take my Gelli Plate and try out colors and shapes and suddenly I have some papers to use for backgrounds for journaling, mixed media etc - I might even find a figure in there and work on it in order to get it to stand clearer out - this is fun.

I asked Susi - froebelsternchen  if she would like to be tagged and found out she was already participating  in the previous Creative Blog Hop, but if you haven’t seen her fantastic journaling and mixed media art you should pop over and read more here

Thanks for visiting my blog and I wish you a good day.
