Start from scratch!

I have taken the fun challenge on Simon Says Stamp: start from scratch.
And it's true it's just to get started... ;-)
I must also from time to time work with my blocking for use of white paper.

So thanks for all the good advice from Michelle they are good to have in mind.

I stamped my post card 2 times, and cut out the bird
and colored with blue and red.
I distressed the background with old paper ink. And also distress on the edge.
The background of my manilla tag is embossed with clear embossing powder and highlighted with old paper, gathered twigs and pumice stone.
The small card is stamped with Tim's Grunge Alphabet.
Tim's feathers got a thick layer of embossing powder
on top of the black color. At last I put a wax seal on.

Inventor Robert Fulton

Here is my suggestion for the Inventions & inventor challenge.
I think that Robert Fulton should have his own stamp.
I've made it as a little shadow box.

I was surprised when I read that Robert Fulton first had tried to sail his
steamboat on the river Seine,
but the new steamboat made its scheduled service on
the Hudson River

He also designed and invented and made a submarine to Napoleon which was
called Nautilus,
In 1920, his drawings of Nautilus was found in London.

I cut 3 pieces of recycled cardboard and 2 pieces of plain cardboard for my little stamp shadowbox.
I started doing a stamped background with clear embossing powder and used Broken China. I placed the picture and the gears which are cut from a texture fade embossing and distressed with the Black Soot Paint.
On the first clear acetate I placed the compass also with embossing powder and some colors, again a new acetate with the steamboat and a little left over from the frame which looked like a wave, and ending with a last acetate, I made a mask so I got the white edge. On the colored edge I placed text, stamps and remnant rubs.
I hope this is a little inspiration for you.

Hand died Flower and Ribbon

This challenge is to make homemade flowers and colored laces / ribbons. I thought that was really funny, so I made some flowers, and I chose to make them in white tissue paper. The circles are placed in layers then cut with scissors into the center of the flower where I have put a brad.
The blue background is loaded with brayer on acrylic plate.

This time my ribbon looks very weak toned - LOL
