Art Journal Journey - Time

It is incredible with time, child born, growing up and marriage -  how time flies and when I think back on my wedding day, I think it was just yesterday, now there are flown 35 years;-))

My journal is being filled up soon, there are only a few pages left and it's time to start another one.

It's good that AJJ exist, and I can have the pleasure to take part in this challenge.

I have used acrylic colors from Golden and Ecoline ink, stamps from Rubber Dance Stamp and Andy Skinner, Dutch DooBaBoo stencil and Archival ink jet black and red carnation. Quote of Mother Teresa

Thank you for your visit and you may have a good weekend.
Hugs, Susan

In the Garden - Rubber Dance August Challenge

Here is my post # 2
I think it would be fun with a floral manila tag for the garden theme on Rubber Dance blog. It became a sunflower, which is a beautiful August flower here in Denmark, and when we lived in the countryside were our sunflowers almost
3 meters high.

I have used black-eyed Susan Sizzix die, Tim Holtz latticework stencil, Andy Skinner stamps, Distress ink mustard seed, mowed lawn, picked raspberry, vintage photo,
black pen, an old book page and ribbons.

Wish you a very good day
Hugs, Susan

Later I found out that Simons has a challenge where my tag fits very well.

Rubber Dance August Challenge

My daughter and I were out shopping, and after we had seen on various Moleskines that were either too large or with lines and not fit for the purpose as my daughter had planned, we caught sight of a small cover for photos A6, which we bought. I went to make the book ready to be painted, stamped and got washi tape on, and then I put in a little different kind of paper, thick as thin.

I was on Rubber Dance blog to view the monthly challenge and that suited the small diary really well, with colors and nature.

Front and Back

I used gesso as the base, then dylusion colors and sand paper to smooth the sides.
Andy Skinner stamps, Tim Holtz stencil and small talk.
Washi tape and tags.

Inside holds a transparent elastic band all the small papers in place and I have put an envelope to the scraps.

The small cover (A6) from the start.

This was the colors that should be used.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I wish you a nice day

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - august

Today I finished my own proposal for Tim Holtz Manila Tag. I chose a #12 Tag. I wanted to go bigger, since I could not finish my background and my mixed media and have fun. I'm happy with it's look.
I tried Tim's technique, using distress ink and matte medium, it provided a fun effect, as you can see.

Tim Holtz artful arrows die, cms 060 stamp, #12 tag, paper stash lost&found, distress ink hickory smoke, scattered straw, faded jeans, fired brick, golden gesso, fluid matte medium, archival ink jet black, distress ink spray tarnished brass, artemio stamp, remnant rubs special delivery, trimmings, small talk, found relatives, flash card, ephemera and arrow.

Thank you for looking on my blog and you must have a nice day.
Hugs, Susan
