In my garden there is - Art Journal Journey - July 2016

The sunflower is one of my favorite flowers. Many years ago we had a very small garden, and we had utilized it totally, there were blackberries, elder flower, an apple tree and our sunflowers could be over 2 meters high. A year gave blackberry bush almost 8 kg of berries that we pickled. Since it has only been for a trip to the city parks where the gardener is adept at many beautiful perennials and flowers that we can admire.

Today we have a small balcony with a wooden bench that we can sit on and early morning we hear the birds singing. We enjoy the weather on the wooden bench and can use it until to October if the weather permits.

Snow White - Ever After lesson #3

Snow White with Annie Hamman. Really beautiful colors you can get from the 3 main colors and white, it is a balance to mix these colors! The technique only to paint in these three colors, except for the lip and apple painted with red mixed with yellow, was a good learning.

Beauty and the Beast - Ever After lesson #2

Andrea Gomoll has chosen Beauty and the Beast to show her technique. I've tested it here in my example. In this lesson, I also get the opportunity to try the whimsical shapes with very large eyes, and it is fun and challenging! Like the first lesson, there is a lot of technique, and unfortunately it's hard to catch it all on my photo.

My Little Mermaid

Wow, I've signed up for a course to learn new mixed media techniques with a fairytale theme and that is Ever After by Tamara Laporte, this course has 12 different teachers and each with their own special techniques. What I have seen and tried until now, is really exciting. And I am looking forward to more challenges ...

July and August - SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Summer Challenges

I love going to the beach and be treasure hunter, so I feel like Pippi Longstocking. Also the well-known key to the beach house! I hope that you will have good summer findings that can be used.

I have used: DecoArt media gesso black and white, texture sand paste.
DeoArt Crafters acrylic citrus green.
DecoArt media Fluid Acrylics cobalt teal hue and translucent white.

Sprays, inks, things from the beach, buttons, key, stamps and and crayons.
White card board.
