Winterstorm - November/December

New SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges. Remember it is a two month challenge November/December 2020. We will love to se your project.

The snow is flying on fields and meadows, withered stumps and
flower stands sticking their stems up over the snow,
frost in the air on a clear bright blue sky with faint stars.

That's what I imagined when I made my tag...

If you want to know how I have rusted my focal point, then read here:
1 deciliter of vinegar and 1 deciliter of water, put it on a spray bottle.
Take the things you want to rust - put other old rusty things in the package, but before you wrap it all in old cotton fabric, the fabric must be wetted with your vinegar/water solution so the fabric is moist, wrap it all tightly and put string around many times. Put it in a plastic container, spray with your solution and repeat for a few days until you see that the fabric is stained by rust-
unpack your package and see the good result

I have used: DecoArt Media Black Gesso and Crackle Paint
DecoArt Dazzling Metallics Ice Blue
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Titan Buff and Quinacridone Gold
TANDO CREATIVE Tag

I have also used  metal ephemera, fabric, stars, gaze and die.

I wish you a good Christmas holiday and that you may have good health for you and your family, get well into the new year.

My Field Notes - September 2020

September Challenge on SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges

I know I will miss the summer, but I also hope that we will have a
good autumn where we can breathe freely, meet those we have missed with
open arms and give them a good hug.

I have had fun with this journal, the pages I have colored on my gelliplate and added collage, with retro glossy scraps from flea markets.

The journal has a tab binding that I have seen on youtube with DeeDee Catron and Dina Wakley, the method is smart as you can take your single pages and put them together into a journal.

I have used: DecoArt media fluid acrylics Burnt Orange, Paynes Grey, Sap Green, Titan Buff, Cobalt Teal Hue, Yellow Green Light and
DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic Citrus Green

I have also used: Gelliplate, watercolorpaper, painting tape, teabags, stamps, scraps, sewing machine, thread and rubons

Last page

My journal is 8x18 cm

I wish you all a fantastic September with lots of creative hours.
Hugs, Susan

Reach The Beach

Hello lovely readers, July and August are our Summer Special Challenge at
and there is plenty of time to join us.

What is not more beautiful to stand by the blue sea looking
at the horizon. I always think of the blue sky, warm air
with a light breeze, light summer food with fruit from the sea.

This year we are not leaving, with all the strange things that have happened,
my husband and I have managed well we have not been sick
and our supermarket has delivered food to the door. We are very grateful

I am very fond of fluid acrylic because they can be used as watercolor,
so here you see what colors I have used, very diluted.

I have used:
DecoArt media Fluid Acrylics:
Cobalt Teal Hue, Cerulean Blue, Yellow Oxide and English Red Oxide
Americana Decou-Page Matte

Lots of ephemera and as the bottom of my tag laid a napkin divided into three
where one of these is glued on and used as watercolor paper.
As the last I sewed around the edges with black thread.

We vill love to see you at

I wish you all a wonderful summer with many creative projects
here from Copenhagen, Denmark
