Steampunk Tic Tac Toe - July/August

Here you see the fine Tic Tac Toe, that Claudia has made for the summer challenge, where you can choose the three fields (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) that are interesting for you to work with.

I have chosen diagonally "Words - Metal - Fabric"

I have had many balls in the air around this issue and it has been really fun to work with. I hope that also you will get a good scraptime with our Tic Tac Toe.

There is no summer here in Denmark yet, we have much rain and very little heat! So I thought "Summer" - where is the good weather?

My little box is 8x13 cm
I've used stamps from Andy Skinner, Hero Art and Studio 490.
Archival ink jet black, and plenty of golden acrylic, clock parts for RetroKraftShop, and from my drawer's fabric remnants, radio parts, gears, miniature and game spinners from Tim Holtz.

The Ravages of Time

The theme is  - The Ravages of Time

I have photographed my old company stamps as I found at a flea market.
And I think they should be used on a large manilatag.

I have painted with acrylic colors and crackle paste, used old papers, stamps from Andy Skinner, distress ink and the photo of my old stamps. The large metal stamp is used to number the checks with.

At the flea markets I look for old stamps that have been used in the business and they usually have beautiful wooden handle - sometimes there is a small
metal tag at the top.

I hope that you have been attracted to participate in the challenge and make your own project on SanDee & amelie's Steampunk Challenge - The Ravages of Time

Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to see your project.
Hugs, Susan

Art Journal Journey - The Sea #2

It's amazing how many beautiful and varied journal pages there are at the sea theme, it's a really lovely A * J * J *

I got very inspired by the sea theme so I had to do something more. I have not had much time here in May, my time is running from me. LOL

Hurray... Summer is coming, you must have a good day

Art Journal Journey - The Sea #1

I have used my big A4 Dylusions journal book.
It have amused me to make this page and matched the theme.

The cormorant is here in Denmark one hated bird, destroying fishermens nets and stealing the catch, and not least the trees that they are nesting in go out, because of its excrements.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I wish you a great sunnyday.

The papers are from Prima, Forever Green.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I wish you a nice day.

And I have used Tim Holtz tiny tattered floral, tag & bookplates die, layering stencil typo, distress ink barn door, vintage photo and black soot, photo booth, typed token, linen ribbon, arrow adornment, small talk, remnants rubs, ephemera.
Paste, silk ribbon, brads and buttons

Eyes Tested

Journal #11
The Challenge "Eyes Tested" on SanDee & amelie's Steampunk Challenge

My journal is a moleskine A5. I have glued the pages together two by two, and I used Golden acrylic color and paste for the background. For the eyes, I used is a vintage stamp from Paper Artsy, that I have stamped on tissue paper, so it could also be used reversed. Around the eye, I used a foam stamp that I have cut a long time ago. Both are stamped with Archival jet black ink. The stems are outlined with Posca black pen. Finally, I painted it all over with clear gesso designed for different pastel, and I have drawn with Prismacolor for small details.

It was really hard to photograph this journal page because you can not really see that it's a monocle on the right side of the top, but it succeeds at last.

I hope that you'll want to play over at SASPC, and we look forward to see your project, hugs Susan
