Jeg har lavet et lille julekort lag på lag, med Rubber Dance Stamps. Det er en god jule udfordring og altid spændende at være med på en nordisk blog.

Jeg har brugt hvid cardboard til selve kortet.

PaperArtsy Challenge - Topic 21 Abstract Art

It was a great inspiration to see Michaels video. Fantastic, and a huge work.

I started by giving the entire canvas black gesso, afterwards when it was dry, I put some cracklemedium on it. I painted with white acrylic and again some blue. As you can see, I used stencil and stamps. I would not call it abstract I have been in my comfort zone the hole time, *LOL...

but anyway, here is my version...

Art Journal Journey - Inspired by Autumn Colours November 2015

Thanks again for the good inspiration.

What is more autumn-like than a dark dark forest with long shadows, where the leaves fall completely silent.

On the page is the random glued lots of different scraps, cardboard and crackelpaste. Acrylic color and stencil, and a hare in full leap,

stamped with white acrylic.

 This is the end on my journal in 2015, no more space. Now I will start on a new book in a completely different format.

It's always a little scary with all the white pages.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - november

I love Tim's technique with distress paint and stamp for the background and I like to use it for my november manila tag.

Gold edges, ground espresso and hickory smoke fits perfectly.

I think it has been very inspiring, and I am happy for my final result.

I have used the materials TH's Slight Alterations and Schoolhouse blueprint stamps

Adventure Words die, Woodland leaves Sizzix die

Distress marker mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, festive berries,

Distress paint picket fence, Distress ink wild honey, fired brick, black soot, ground espresso, Distress spray stain hickory smoke, pumice stone, squeezed lemonade, festive berries and brushed corduroy and Archival ink jet black

Small talk occasions, arrows, linen ribbon, mini brayer, #8 manila tag, waterbrush, watercolor paper, gold sheet, charcoal pencil 

and Spanish cedar interlayer used on words die.

"Anything Goes" - November/December SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenge

Don't miss the start of our two-months long challenge over at SanDee&amelie's Steampunk Challenges.

I have long wanted to create a accordion book with various scraps and gears and it's given the title "Un Fold".

I am a lucky artist to be member in DecoArts outreach program

I have played with DecoArts Media products, they are amazing colors and they dry up within no time.

I have used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics:

Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Yellow Oxide, Quinacridone Gold, English Red Oxide,  Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Cobalt Teal Hue, Raw Umber, Paynes Grey.

DecoArt Media Antiquing Cream Patina Green.

DecoArt Media Texture Sand Paste, Matte Medium, Gesso.

DecoArt Metallic Lustre, Brilliant Turquoise.

When everything is glued and ready,

I have started to paint with Gesso.

There are used Tim Holtz dies, photo and stamp. Scraps, old book pages and Stickers.

Archival Ink Jet Black

String, leather and eyelet to close the book.

Then the funny part with all the colors painted with a brush.

 It is a pleasure to use DecoArt products and steampunk has a soul and that gives me the chance to get ideas I can try out and get dirty hands.

My accordion book measures 10 x 11 cm.

The paper weighing 250 g / m2 A4 is split down the middle and put together so the length is 60 cm in total.

Front and back are made of cardboard tied in with the same kind of paper as the substance.

Now it's opened on the other side...

It has been an exciting process and I had fun to create this accordion book, I hope you like it.

Something Wicked

Happy Halloween, something is wicked.

Here in Denmark, we have taken Halloween to us and the kids love to dress up.

Here are my suggestions...

I am very fond of the little owl and I think that it is both creepy and funny.

The owl fit very good for this challenge.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress ink spiced marmalade, wilted violet, ground espresso, twisted citron, vintage photo and black soot. Carved halloween stamp, layering stencils batground and zigzag. Tag & bookplates and festive greenerry die. Remnant rubs curiosities. Archival ink jet black. Boneyard.
Brusho orange, lemon, purple, black and leafgreen. Silk ribbons, flowers and button.

Paper Artsy Topic 20: Triptych

All displayed triptychs on Paper Artsy's Challenge are beautiful both old and new.

Leandra from Paper Artsy and her video tutorial is great and that inspired me to this triptych.

I found a piece of cardboard to my triptych and I used my brayer and rubber bands wrapped around a wood block to make patterns. The colors are tone in tone and is from DecoArt Fluid Acrylic, Yellow, Yellow Oxide and the dark color is Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide. On the blue pages are used a stencil with birch trees and the color is DecoArt Crafter's Acrylic Brilliant blue.
The strong women is From the Past stamp of Dina Wakley.
To appease my colors I have used Titan Buff.

First I made the whole page with black gesso, when it was dry I used a stencil I have cut and used Dylusions color Crushed grape as background. Titan Buff very dilute is used as snow. Below on the bottom is washi tape.

The black and white and the slightly diffuse gave just the puff that I did this drawing in my journal from Moleskine with black paper where I have used PanPastel and stencil for numbers and feathers.

Art Journalling With Tim

It is a very long time since I've been on A Vintage Journey Blog, and DT have put up some amazing examples.

In my "coffee-Journal" (which still smells of coffee) I have created a page on cardboard as cover with TH stencil Flourish and Burlap with paste, I have painted with acrylic color, gesso, and blue. Various scraps from the pile and an old measuring tape found at a flea market. Scripture is from Handwritten Love die, with clear embossing powder, the picture is from Photo Booth and the small papers are from ephemera pack Expedition.
