 I have used a mask that I have made with my hot glue gun, a long time ago, which is sprayed with Dylusion ink. And a nice mask from Dina Wakley I've just bought and that suited for -

The Design team has shown a wonderful inspiration, and I really want to join in with this page.

Now we celebrate all these wonderful challenge birthdays, we must remember to give credit to the women of the world!  And we must not forget humour, so I used Dylusions stamps and colors in my journal.

Things with Wings - Journal 15#8

Thanks for all the nice comments on my blog, that I got on my first post on your fantastic ART JOURNAL BLOG, and it's some real fine examples all you bloggers have shown.

Here is my post for Things with Wings, completely traditional, but I was actually inspired by the stunning tutorial on OCC with Claudia's bird stamp.

The page were painted with Tim's distress paint, with a brayer and afterwards a little panpastel colors

here is my carved stamp printed on a card with archival ink and distressed edges

my little bird had to have a wife, so I used the same stamp on tissue paper which was inverted and glued onto another card

other stamps I have used are from Tim Holtz and HeroArt

the little poem is itself composed

On the calendar it says that the first day of spring has come, but here in Copenhagen it's still a bit cold. And it will be nice to get out in the warm weather to enjoy it. My manila tag is a dream case scenario, and it will be wonderful to go on an expedition. I was really happy to do this Tag, and as always it's a good challenge from Tim Holtz.

Gear it Up!

On this "gear it up" I should try something new. WAX, as I have only tried a few times. Acrylic color in two layers with water droplets, which I have seen in Andy Skinner's tutorial on You tube.

The cardboard was painted with gesso, then with acrylic colors, and when it was dry, I put wax on.

I think it was a bit difficult, but I am very happy with the result

Why not take Sizzix free papers, I think they are really fine. My card is a little different than I usual do, so I had a fun challenge.

The card is for my daughter and her boyfriend.

Journal Cover - Journal 15#6

I felt that Mirror Crack'd Journal cover challenge sounded exciting. Of course my journal should have a cover, it was born black, and it had to be simple ;-)) ...

A few months ago I bought a carving block which is used here.

Country View Challenge Drips and drops

What's more fun than I can drip, spray and distresse with my colors.

Here's the first and the second time with spray colors, and I have added color to my kraft sheet where my manila tag gets turned around.

Finally are the edges distressed, stamped and my scraps are glued on.

Journal 15#5

Friendship can be displayed with the H for heart. I absolutely love old scraps, and this I found at a flea market. I collected as a child and so did my daughter too, and the scraps were put in brightly folders. Unfortunately they are gone lost and therefore I search for them at flea markets.

The Journal pages are sprayed with TH's distress spray stain. Barn door ink is used on hearts stencil, and the heart is cut with mini heart set die and distressed with barn door. The papers are from TH's collage mini seasonal and Panduro. Doily is from Sizzix, tissue tape, red twine and butterfly from Karen Marie Design.

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2015 - february

Here in Denmark we have sent Easter letters for many years and it is an old tradition. If you could not guess who the letter came from, you had to give a small gift which could be chocolate eggs.

Valentine is something relatively new, in about 20 years we have celebrated it in Denmark, and it is a nice tradition. With Tim's challenge, you can express it in many ways, I have had fun making my contribution.

What I have used of materials:

Mini Love Struck and spring greenery dies, Menagerie 8x8 paper, silk ribbon and cotton felt

Distress paint picket fence, distress ink barn door, spiced marmalade and spun sugar, Distress marker black soot and distress glitter clear rock candy

Adornment arrows, wordbands, heart charm, metal corner, wire and glue n' seal
